Description
Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTWS) is the largest publicly traded water utility based in the New England region. Through its wholly-owned regulated public water utility subsidiaries, The Connecticut Water Company and The Maine Water Company, the company provides drinking water to 123,000 customers, or about 400,000 people, throughout the states of Connecticut and Maine. The team at Connecticut Water is passionate about water service and work hard every day to ensure that the quality and reliability of this vital resource is top notch.

Over the past few years, Connecticut Water invested millions of dollars in pipeline infrastructure across Connecticut and Maine. Reinvesting back into the infrastructure ensures that the water system will remain robust and will serve current and future customers. Communities are able to grow and sustain when a public water system has the resources and infrastructure to deliver clean safe water. CWC is committed to being a good steward of the environment and to fostering programs that enhance sustainability throughout the state. CWS continues to replace older water pumps with energy-efficient and environmental safe options. Additionally, CWS conducts hundreds of thousands of water tests each year to ensure that the quality of the water their customers drink, cook and bathe with is clean and safe.

CWS acquired two water companies in Maine in 2012 and completed the integration in 2013 and 2014. To date, CWS has completed over 40 acquisitions of small water systems during the past eight years. In addition, CWS will look for ways to grow the non-regulated and service segment of the business.

Connecticut Water has a very strong cultural foundation, which is built upon open, honest communication and fosters integrity and respect. The company is intentional about their core values and it is an employee and customer centric organization where employees feel pride of ownership. Connecticut Water looks for committed leaders, who are self-starters with a willingness to work hard. Successful leaders are willing to roll up their sleeves and do what is necessary and best for the company. Connecticut Water has a strong development culture where employees are given ample opportunities to grow and learn. The quality of the team, the dedication to the customer, the commitment to the highest quality standards and the strong focus on stewardship are the cornerstones of this organization.
